Music Ministry

Kathy's Song

Ministry

Coolidge Baptist Church Music Ministry offers opportunities for people of all ages to use their gifts in the worship and service to God.  In our music ministry we strive to exalt our Savior, edify the saints, and evangelize the lost.  Music is our tool; Jesus is our message!

Choir Rehearsals

Our choirs are open to anyone who likes to sing and is interested in being involved in a good church choir ministry. You do not have to be able to read music or be a “musician” – you simply need to have a love for serving God through music.  The fellowship is great and rewards are “out of this world”!  We welcome you to find a place of service with us.

Our choir rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings and include:

Children's Choir, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.

Led by Pam Crosby Howard and Danna Cooper

For children up through the sixth grade

Youth Choir, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.

Led by Kathy Keown

For youth, seventh through twelfth grades

Adult Choir, Wednesday, 7:15 p.m.

Led by Kathy Keown

Open to all adults

Check it out!!  Music/Stress/Calories

Do you ever feel stressed?  If so, we can relate!  Did you know that one of the number one stress reducers is singing!!  According to research, when you’re feeling stressed, sing a song and your stress level will go down.  Another bonus, you burn approximately 100 calories during an hour of singing while sitting and 150 calories during an hour of singing while standing!

Personal Message

On a personal note, music is such an important part of my life.  I don’t sing because I have a lovely solo voice, I sing because I have a song – a song of praise that so often opens my eyes to the wonder of the holiness of God.  Join me in this song!

The Psalmist David said it much more eloquently than I.   “……Let me hear joy and gladness…..my tongue will sing of your righteousness.  O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.”  (Psalm 51:8, 14, 15)
